Well i found out on Jan 21 that it's wores then i thought. It's not just my hips that are out of place but my back is as well. I got a bit of a damiged disc that is really swollen and pinching one of my nervs in my back so every now and then my legs go nume. I'm not aloud to pick anything up or do alot of bending over, so I'm off work and off ridding and bord and not aloud to do anything so im at home lieing on the flat ground cause it's the only spot my back does not feel so bad.
The charoprctor said it can take 4 to 6 weeks to heal probley so there goes a couple of my planes.I had just started to get back into ridding and trying to get Mars back in shap but i guss that going to have to wait now. So Mars can put the 10 pounds he lost back on along with 40 pound more. lol. I had planed on taking Mars to the Roal Winter to compeat in the Barrles but now i wont have the time i neeed with him so there goes thous plans.
I'm not used to being stuck inside not aloud to do anything, on nice days like today id been out side with my horses or at my boyfreinds place helping do chorse and milk the cows but im not even aloud to milk the cows. So I'm bord already and it's only been a week so this is really going to suck.
Reining
To Reing a horse is not only to guid him, but also to direct his
every movement. The best reining horse should be willingly guided through a set
of complex maneuvers, with litlle or no apparent resistance.

Out of the game for a bit
I'm not really sure what I did all I know is that my hips started hurting late last week and on Monday i find out my hips are way out of place. It hurts to walk and sit down and getting back up is even harder but iv had this problem before. But of cores I worked last week and i worked a long and hard day on Monday so when i went to work on Tuesday i could hardly walk i decided to go home and the same thing happed Wensday.
So i wont be ridding at all this week watch means Mars is going to be really made at me but i don't think Pretty is going to mind as much as Mars will. But in a big way my hips being out of place is Mars's fault in the first place so i should be the one made at him.
This all started way back in 2006 at the 4 - H Provencal Show. Me and Mars had made the team in the top 2 as well. This year we showed in Trail, Reining, Jumping, Barrels, Poles and Keyhole. the show was going good and I took Mars out to go warm up for my Jumping class watch was coming up. All around the out door warm up arena was these jumps with fake flowers under neath them watch was OK with every other horse out there but Mars. Mars is a really good jumper, he's jumped the 4 real fence at home and we've cleared the barrels standing on end but for some reason if you put food under the jumps Mars will not cross them.
As we were worming up we went over some small jump just jogging and made a few laps but when i lined him up for this one unpractical jump watch had some fake flowers under neath Mars hit the breaks and I went throw the jump instead. I landed on the poles on my back and Mars was just standing there trying to see if he could eat the fake flowers, he even bit a few and was mad when they didn't taste good. I got up after lieing there for a little bit, put the poles back up and went to get back on Mars when one of the parents came up to me and told me i should not get back on, to dangerous and not safe. I didn't say anything back and just got back on Mars and tryed the same jump again and the same thing happened. Well know we have a problem cause that hurt again so me and Mars had to have a little talk eye to eye. That parent came over again and said i should not get back on and the flowers should be removed but i said no to both. Me and Mars were going to try this again and this time be hit the brakes again and i was more ready for that so i just ended up hanging on his neck but not tucking the ground. i pulled my self back up and not even a foot in front of the jump i made him just bunny hop over then back around we went at a lop and over he when with no problem. Good thing cause i just got called to go compete in my jumping class, We got 3rd place.
When the show was over i was really sore and when to go get my self checked up and found out my hips where really badly out of please and i was in crouches for 2 weeks and ever since i have had problems with my hips so i hopping this one will end soon.
It's sunny and blowing snow what i nice day to go for a ride

Over the fance I go at least I missed the tree
Don't dout me when i say i love my crazy horse
Jan 10 / 2011
It was a very noce day with it snowing again but at least the sun was out. i let all the horses out for watter before i desised to grabe Mars and go for a little ride, good thing to cause they all seemed to go crazy and go running aroun the arean like well the crazy horses they are. i let them do all there bucking and fighting before i got a hold of Mars and pushed all the rest back into there holding pen.
Mars was still jumpy and snorting loud but me and him where going to go for a nice slow ride today with no problems and he batter not try and buck again. today he was not to bad othere then he wanted to hold his head high but it's Mars i really don't care if hios head is up or not. the other horses were fighting in the holding pen and that got Mars all jumppy again so we had a little fight but i just turned his head in till he was trying to bit my boot and we went on with our jogging. we did about 20 some laps in both dirackshion so we did pretty go and Mars still had go.
My next horse to reide was Pretty even thow my face was getting really cold i figerd i should work with Pretty just a little. Just with Haulter and lead roap i was trying to get her to keep careing her self with her head down and her body more underneath her and she would as long as i heald her a little and keept my legs on her, but she keept wanting to pick up speed because my legs were on her. Everytime i let go of her i could feel her dropping her self so we got some work to do with that but i like how much she is hold with just lead roap so when spring comes and i put her back to bit i would like to see how much more she will hold up for me.

It's anothe nice but but today seems like a good day to have some fun. so i got on my crazy Mustan horse Mars and right of the bat her wants to have some fun to he takes off into a jog all nice and quit till he stops right infornt of some hay on the ground and trys to pick some up and i gave him a boot((( BADIDEA))) he glude his ears to his head and took off like a bat out of hell strait for the fance. he hit the brakes and me without a saddle on whent for a bit of a flying lesone, Over the fance and i missed the tree buy only a few feet. Landing on my back in really deep snow watch is kind of a good thing and i was wearing my new halmet i got for christmas.Very good thing.
Well that was fun but i was not to happy with Mars but he was still stnding here with his head hanging over the fance just looking at me thinking What you doing down there? I got up all ok and got back on Mars and the rest of our ride had no problems at all.
That was the end of my ridding for the day.

Dashing thru the snow on a bucking bronco
Jan 04/ 2011
This is my first ride of the new year and I was hopping for the best, but of course I get on my favorite horse Mars and right away his ears are glued to his head.
All I wanted for Christmas was a horse that was not going to kill me. Lol.
I asked him to jog and he bucked instead,
I asked him to stop and he went straight up,
I yelled NO and he said NO back,
I kicked him with both legs and he bucked again,
I yelled No again and kick again and he jogged off.
This was just starting our fun ride together, (remember I'm bareback with only halter and lead rope). As we jogged around he would not keep a slow pace but kept wanting to go faster but if I let him lope I knew I would not last. He kept trying to put his head down but I know this game, it's head down and back end comes up so we have a few fights over who is the boss. It was windy and really cold day so I only rode him for half hour but buy the end of our ride he was starting to behave himself better. Good thing I never left the ridding arena. That wouldn't have ended well, a run away for sure.
Jan 05 / 2011
Today i rode Pretty first, she never gives me much of a problem, but she is not to fond of the idea of me climbing the fence beside her to get on to her. She like to move away form me. we just did some jogging around the arena and plowing through the fresh snow, I picked my hands put to ask her to put her head down and she right away did so so I just played around with her today, seeing if she would bend in her head and still go straight, did some backing up into deep snow, which some horses don't like, we did some slow spinning, as I was not going to push her for speed. We had a nice slow ride her head was down the hole time.
Well then I got on Mars and that was a different story all together. He was happy to see me but not so happy when I got on him. He didn't want to stand still and when we jogged around the arena just one time I could feel his back arching and he was shaking his head. I had to pull hard to get him to stop trying to buck, he only tried it a few more times and we did our jog around doing some figure eights and backing up in deeps snow and he didn't care at all. Testing the brakes is always fun to do with Mars, we are not Champion Keyhole runners for nothing. Except when he is mad and at a jog I ask him to stop buy just putting my feet forwards and he stopped alright but he also went straight up again.
I also got on my dad's horse Sue today, he has not been ridding for quite some time so I put the bit on him and I had to get Jen to hold him when I got on cause he just would not stay still. I was just about all the way on the he went up, so I went off and poor Jen almost got dragged by him trying to get away. Well now I was not happy at all so I grabbed my saddle and put him to work. But even when I had my saddle he just wanted to throw his head up and run. Well I'm not putting up with this. Sue thinks he can do a better Bronco then Mars can. Sue can't do half of what Mars can. So anything Sue wants to try on me, go for it, I can handle it. I got his head fixed and down, he won't be doing that again. I got him jogging nice and slow around the arena and did a little bit of spinning and called it a day.
